She has received two Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for her work in television acting and presenting. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
Early Years:
Nancy (née Carvin) and Andrew Bertinelli, a GM executive, raised Bertinelli in Wilmington, Delaware. Her father is of Italian ancestry, while her mother is English. David, Patrick, and Drew are her three brothers. Before she was born, her older brother, Mark, died from accidental poisoning at the age of 17 months.
Personal Life:
At the 1991 Emmy Awards, Bertinelli was seen alongside Eddie Van Halen.
In 1981, Bertinelli married Eddie Van Halen.
Wolfgang was their son (born March 16, 1991). Bertinelli is supposed to have named her lone kid “Bob Van Halen” rather than something more Americanized. The pair divorced on December 20, 2007, after splitting up in 2001. Bertinelli stated in her memoirs that her divorce was caused by her husband’s cocaine addiction and his reluctance to quit smoking despite being diagnosed with oral cancer and losing a third of his tongue during treatment.

The document was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court the day before Thanksgiving by the Hot in Cleveland and Food Network personality. Bertinelli states the date of separation as “TBD,” according to paperwork acquired by ET. She married Vitale on January 1, 2011, and the couple has no minor children. Bertinelli wants the court’s authority to grant both of them support to be taken away.
Bertinelli also claims that the formal separation is due to “irreconcilable disputes.” She also mentions a “totally binding on the parties” prenuptial agreement dated Dec. 21, 2010.

The former One Day at a Time star stated in her much-anticipated biography that the epidemic made her and Vitale realize their marriage was in peril.
“We’ve broken up,” she wrote. “Fissures in the relationship occurred years earlier, and the lockout prompted a serious review of priorities, as it did for virtually everyone I know… In order to find greater joy, I need to recognize and let go of concepts and behaviors that no longer serve me, and one of those things is my 11-year marriage to Tom.”
The Food Network presenter made it clear that the decision to divorce was not taken lightly.
