Recently Admitted Kapil Dev, former captain of Cricket World Cup 1983, went through Angioplasty as he suffered a heart attack. Recently someone spread the rumors that he was again admitted and then died. On Monday morning, i.e., 2nd November 2020, many tweets from unverified users have spread false claims of his demise in the hospital after he was admitted again due to his bad health after the heart attack.
However, after such rumors about his friend Kapil Dev, Madal Lal said this,
“Speculation on colleagues’ health and well being is insensitive and irresponsible. Our friend, Kapil Dev, is on the path to recovery and getting better each day. At a time where the family has been through stress owing to his hospitalization, please let us be sensitive.”
A week after his Angioplasty, Kapil Dev had greeted his fellow teammates of the 1983 World Cup, saying, I am fine and doing very well and eager to meet everyone soon.
” My family 83. The weather is very pleasant, and I am very eager to meet you all. I am feeling very good. Thanks to all for your wishes and concern,”
Kapil Dev said the above sentence in a video he sent to the fellow teammates from the 1983 World Cup.
“I am hoping that we all will meet pretty soon. I will try to meet you all as early as possible. We have approached the end of the year, and I am confident that we will have a great start to next year. Love you all,”
He added this in the video as well.
Kapil Dev is one of the gems of Indian Cricket, and here’s what he achieved in his career.
He led the Indian Cricket Team to their maiden World Cup victory in 1983.
