Jeff Foxworthy on Shark Tank:

The popular ABC show Shark Tank has been renewed. Since delivering the globe the program’s only post-show interview series, AfterShark, in which we chat game with all the players, we’re already huge fans of the nail-biter here at WalletPop. However, there will be a twist in the second season. A new Shark will be added to the mix: comedian Jeff Foxworthy.

If you haven’t seen it before, the show features innovators and businessmen presenting their ideas to five millionaires. Fashion mogul Daymond John, Mr Burns doppelganger Kevin O’Leary, and our very own Barbara Corcoran are among the regular sharks, but for three episodes in the next series, they’ll be joined by Mr Blue Collar Comedy himself.

People have been asking me, as the presenter of AfterShark, what I think about adding Jeff Foxworthy to the investing panel. My response: You could be a hillbilly if you think he doesn’t fit among moguls.

Why Is He Being Welcomed as A Shark?

The five “sharks” from the previous season will return, with Jeff Foxworthy joining them for three episodes. Real estate moguls, fashion designers, entrepreneurs, financial gurus, and a guy who made a livelihood determining how much of a redneck you are if you had a car parked on blocks in your front yard.

It comes as no surprise that Foxworthy is wealthy or suited for this position. He is the founder of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, has established a business around his name and brand of humour, has launched the careers of several comedians, and has his own BBQ, jerky, and greeting card lines. The strange part seems to be how different he is from the other sharks on the panel.
