Indian Cricket Players Under Isolation have landed themselves in a soup by inadvertently breaching the bio-secure bubble protocols. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini Shubman Gill, and Prithvi Shaw were out eating in a restaurant when they met a fan who claims to have paid their bill.
BCCI and Cricket Australia are reportedly looking into the matter after coming to know the fan’s incident. The fan named Navaldeep Singh paid their 118 dollar bill at the restaurant after surprisingly spotting some of the top Indian players eating next to him at Secret Kitchen Chinese restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre.
The fan has claimed to have interacted with the players, clicked photos with them, and there are doubts that he even hugged wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.
As per Cricket Australia’s bio-security protocol, players can eat out at restaurants but have to be seated outdoors. According to the video posted by the Indian fan, the players were seen sitting indoors, and they were not even wearing a mask.
So far, the players are not confirmed to have breached any social distancing guidelines as there is no pictural proof that they were near their fan/s.
A recent instance of such an issue was seen with Chris Lynn and Dan Lawrence as they were seen taking a selfie with a fan. Both the players play for Brisbane Heat, and the franchise, along with the two Aussie players, was fined for the incident.
The Australian government has been doing their best to ensure that the 3rd Test match happens even between the Covid situation and increasing cases in the nearby area where the match will be played, which is Sydney. If the Indian players are found violating the rules, they will have to face severe situations.
Ethan, this, Jofra Archer was also caught breaching the bubble rule, and he got a lot of defaming and attention. Everyone has to see how BCCI and Cricket Australia will react if the Indian players are found guilty. Indian Cricket Players Under Isolation will have to face a hefty fine if they are found guilty.
