Whole Story Of Their Divorce:

Online advertising has offered details on a divorce settlement for television psychologist Dr. Phil since at least February 2021. Phil McGraw and his wife, Robin McGraw, were featured in one of the adverts. “Dr. Phil’s Divorce Settlement Has Finally Been Revealed,” the headline read. “This Is How Phil McGraw’s Marriage Ended,”.

Dr. Phil’s marriage to Debbie Higgins, his high school sweetheart, ended in divorce after three years. Because he didn’t have much at the time, the divide cost roughly $1 million. Higgins refers to herself as Dr. Phil’s “hidden first wife.”

However, the initial marketing was deceptive. His current wife, Robin McGraw, who was portrayed in the commercial, had nothing to do with the divorce narrative. Since 1976, they have been married. A similar accusation concerning the couple was previously revealed by us.

Instead, the Ninja Journalist tale concentrated on Phil McGraw’s first marriage to Debbie Higgins for a brief moment. (She then changed her name to Debbie Higgins McCall.) She died in September 2014, according to the Kansas City Star.)

True, the pair had been high school sweethearts. They married at a Kansas church on Nov. 27, 1970, when they were both 20 years old.

McCall was interviewed by the Kansas City Star in 2002. She, on the other hand, made no mention of a divorce settlement:

“When I challenged him about his infidelities, he didn’t deny these girls and assured me it had nothing to do with his sentiments for me,” McCall claimed.

According to her, the relationship ended when she left him in 1973 and returned to Kansas City.

“I understand that every relationship has two sides to it,” she explained. “I’ve kept my side quiet in my relationship with Phil for all these years because I couldn’t see any benefit in revealing it.”

Following a Mention of Mc Call in A Newsweek Cover Story, Mc Call Chose to Speak with The Star:

McCall, who owns a liquor shop in the Kansas City suburbs, refers to herself as Dr. Phil’s “hidden first wife” on occasion.

She had never talked publicly about their four-year marriage, which she alleges ended in divorce due to his wandering eye. Friends recently suggested she “call Oprah.” She claimed, however, that she was not emotionally prepared to go public.

In a recent Newsweek cover story, McGraw said of his broken marriage, “I was the big football player, and she was the cheerleader.” This was simply the next logical step.” He said that it just did not work out.

We couldn’t discover any reliable sources that said Dr. Phil and his first wife had reached an agreement on their divorce. We also discovered no proof of a $1 million number associated with his first marriage (which, according to Sophia Dembling and Lisa Gutierrez’s 2004 book “The Making of Dr. Phil,” ended in an annulment, not a divorce). Only websites that promoted lengthy slideshow pieces appeared to disclose this information. The identical information appeared in the same stories on Daily Sport X, Journalist, and Ninja Journalist, for example.

This rumor may remind some readers of our debunking of a number of royal family myths. They were also initially seen in advertising on the internet. One assertion was that “the truth” regarding the William and Kate affair rumors will be “exposed.” Prince Harry has “changed his mind about Meghan Markle,” according to another source. Both were deemed “false” because they were unfounded.

In 1970, when they were both 20 years old, Dr. Phil married Debbie Higgins. In 1973, their marriage was annulled rather than divorced. We were unable to find any proof to back up the allegation of a $1 million settlement.
