Story of a young PT master from a Semi-government funded school in North India. Rajkumar Rao aka Montu was just doing his job but the circumstances put everything on the line that Montu loved. This makes him do things that he had never done i.e. teach.

Chhalaang Movie Story

Mahinder Singh aka Montu is a lazy person. One can notice that in the movie from the waking up long after the sun has risen to mess around with his buddy Masterji who is much older than him. His purpose in life was not sure until the starting first half. He is a PT Teacher in his own school and that too due to his father. He recommended Montu as PT Teacher in the school.

Other than wandering around with Masterji, he is playing a role of a police officer who thinks its his duty to punish the love birds wandering in the school. He even crossed the line when he saw an older couple thinking they are fooling around and then defame their name by publishing their picture in a local newspaper.

But, it was luck that Neelima aka Neelu (Nushrratt Bharuccha) ended up being a Computer teacher in the same school as Montu. Obviously Neelu is angry at him after what he did. But Montu starting to feel something for her. And the famous rule of love which states that first step of love is fighting began.

The real twist in the tale began with the entry of new PT coach IM Singh (Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub). His frist look in the movie was when he was seen riding a Royal Enfield. He is shown as the better version of Montu, who could steal his girl and job. That’s when he realised that he needs to behave mature and fight for what is deserve.

He realised that he could lose the job, the girl and his credibility as a PT Teacher. He declares a war between the two PT Teachers and puts to test his ability to teach. From that points onward the sporting action begins with some conflicts.

The second half does spice up the story. Like any other movie, Chhalaang too has a prep montage song sung by Daler Mahendi slugging it out for the D-Day. The preparations done by the young athletes in the movie according to the in-game situation was done effectively and well portrayed on the screen.

The main aim was to raise gender equality and women empowerment and it is clearly visible in the movie.

Music is not forced into the movie. The songs were not in the movie even where they were needed. Even the best song of the movie ‘Khair Ni Kardi’ was played just before the credit rolls.

Chhalaang movie have a lot of stars in the movie.

Rajkumar Rao is seen a lot of times playing same character of a small town boy. This maybe due to the demand of the script but he has performed really well.

Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub is his atheletic personality and mustache perfectly fits his role of a Sports Coach.

Nushrratt Bharuccha is well known for his bold acting in the movie and the role of a young girl from a remote area speaking Desi language.

Some other members of thew film who have acted in the movie are Saurabh Shukla, Ila Arun, Satish Kaushik and Baljinder Kaur. Baljinder Kaur is seen as Rajkumar’s mother in the movie.

Chhalaang Movie Review is that it is a fun film to watch. The critics have also rated the movie 3 out of 5 so it is a good film to watch. SInce it is released a while ago so rating it quickly can’t be good too. So watch the movie and find out yourself if you liked the movie or not.
